Modelling a Station Master's House

Following are a few pictures of the Station Master's house on the 'Ashprington Road' layout.

The building is constructed using Linka, a product available in the 1970's and early 80's which contains moulds for casting plaster pieces which can be fitted together to produce model buildings.

Linka is still available through:

The roof is made with scribed card strips. Guttering is Ratio, chimney pots are whitemetal Springside. The shop window which will become a newsagent/post office, is scratch-built using plastic card. Scenery is a mixture of SetScenes, Woodlands and Heki. The footpath is real stone. The female touch was added to the windows by my wife using tracing paper for the curtains.
