Modelling a GWR Water Crane

This short article describes building a GWR water crane:

This model is a white metal kit produced by Springside. While a bit on the expensive side at GBP 12.50, it is a very nice model, crisply moulded, with very little flash and comes complete with base, wire, the chain and fire devil.
The instructions are clear and glueing was done with Superglue.
Painting was an undercoat of car grey primer followed by Railmatch colours.
